Shivoo is designed to be able to be run either by yourselves in a team meeting, or facilitated by your team coach, training partner, or facilitator. Shivoo is very easy to use as a tool, however it provokes conversations about how your team is performing in real time.
No! Shivoo is easy to use! Sign up, and if you’re feeling adventurous get started straight away. Or review our user guides and support before starting. Either way you’ll be using it like a pro in no time.
Shivoo is your team dynamic platform and tool. Each time you sit with your team and run the assessment tool to capture new data we call that a “Squiz”. A squiz is an Australian colloquial term for “having a look”. Hence you’re pausing to “have a squiz at your team.” Feel free to stick a “mate” in there if it helps!
Unlike most other assessment tools, the unit of analysis in Shivoo is the team, not the individual. We are interested together in studying how your team works, not in individuals within the team. This means we track and store team data, but not individual data.
We track the input answers and results for your team in order to present those results back to you. We tag your team with the demographic data you supplied to us in order to provide a filtered comparison for other teams (your team benefits from this as well).
We do not track any individual answers from individuals within each team. This means we can’t report individual answers to team leaders, organizational admins, or elsewhere – we don’t track this. In addition we don’t take or store any personal or identifiable data about any individual who answers a Squiz within a subscribed Shivoo. We do ask for your email address and name if you complete a solo free Squiz.

Our combined 40+ years of field research and practical experience in working with teams, and more than 10 years of academic research into the complex dynamics of teams resulted in a PhD in complex team dynamics. From this PhD (Maxwell, 2022) Shivoo was born. Shivoo is grounded in the complex teams work of Stacey, Snowden (Cynefin) and Arrow, and in the development and deliberate practice work of K. Anders Ericsson. It is a tool that outlines the six practices teams need to continually work at in order to develop and improve, no matter their context or level.

In short: yes you do. If your subscription lapses, your de-identified team results will stay in the data sea that comprises our comparison basis, but they won’t be retrievable at an individual level any more. Not only will you lose access to them, that access will not be recoverable should you change your mind. This protects the privacy of people who choose to stop using our service.
